BC introduced the Longitudinal Family Practice (LFP) payment model. Unlike traditional fee-for-service, it compensates you for both time and volume:
Hourly Base
For direct clinical, indirect clinical (admin, labs, notes), and clinical teaching time.
Consultation Premium
Added for each in-person or telehealth visit. Adjusted based on patient complexity and age.
